double Trouble Shower

I have some great sisters and they decided that they'd throw Jena a double baby shower seeings how we are both having boys and we are due only 10 days apart... the likely hood of them actually being 10 days apart is slim to non on both our parts seeings how Jena has already been having contractions and my doc says with how low our little guy is he'll make his appearance sooner then later... Casi, Kyli, and Lisa had lots of fun idea's, some that worked and some that didn't but the shower was awesome anyways. I helped Kyli with the diaper cakes and motorcycles since I'd made them before and she hadn't but she's a pro now... Lisa came up with Jena Fri with no kids so we can have a fun kids free weekend... We finally had the WHOLE Christiansen clan up to what was AMAZING it's been a long long time since they have all been here and we got to see baby Makley all chubby which was great.. I'm very thankful to all the came!! We got lots of cute stuff and can't wait for the little guy to get here and put him in them

P.S. ... we got some amazingly great news a few days ago that Tate and his wife Janelle are now expecting.. yeah for more Roberts cousins!!!!

28 weeks

I can't believe I'm already 28 weeks. I haven't done well at documenting this pregnancy like i was with Hadley's. I feel a little detached, I'm not sure if its because its my second and i know whats happening or what comes next or if it's because of everything else going on in our lives right now.. But with that said we are really excited (and a little scared) about having a little boy... Hadley talks about her baby brother every day, she asks how he is all the time and loves to feel him in my tummy.. As a big sister she knows that she gets to help with bottles and Binky's and changing diapers and she can't wait. I told her she could pick out his first blanket and Binky and she can't wait, only problem is when we look she goes to pink so we have yet to get them..

This pregnancy has been a lot like Hadley's and then a lot worse. Sickness wise this pregnancy has been worse, it took a lot longer to get over not feeling good, i never threw up (thank heavens) but i felt terrible most of the time. i haven't had any cravings this time like i did with Hadley, i just want to eat anything except for red meat. when i was pregnant with Hadley i started not being able to sleep about 4-5 months and it got to the point that my Dr. had to prescribe me ambien,,,, well this little man made me not start sleeping before i knew i was pregnant and nothing helps, it's been a long 7 months and the next 2 are gonna suck so i hope they go fast...

i can't wait to meet this little guy and see if he looks/acts like Hadley. I'm guessing i will have another little Ben, just like Hadley. I hope he has the dark hair like his sister and those beautiful blue eyes and long eyelashes.. but maybe this time there can be a little of me showing to... guess we'll see soon enough

Holly Jolly Christmas Time

Christmas time this year was off,, it never really felt like Christmas and i never got the yeah it's Christmas feeling. Maybe it's because my husband was the grinch this year or scrooge as he put it, maybe its because we are still in limbo as to what we are doing and going but this year i didn't love Christmas or maybe its because i had all my shopping done by Dec. 5 and never got out the month of December.. Don't get me wrong i fully enjoyed Hadley and her love of it and how excited she was about every little thing from opening presents, giving gifts, santa cookies, reindeer food, and best of all her love of snow. So i really will just stop there rather then making this a downer post and just show you what fun we did have....

Papa Turned 57

WOW i didn't realize i was so behind... We sure have a great dad (most of the time) so we had to do it up big for his birthday... His birthday this year happened to fall on Thanksgiving so he has lots of family around to celebrate with him.I had the idea to "heart attack" him, so i asked that all of us kids write 57 reasons why we love him and then we hung all 399 hearts all over the house... he was shocked and still says its the best gift he ever got. it was really fun to watch him read and reacted to the hearts.. the grand kids were so excited to help put the up as well... Kyli also got him a very special gift....... a buffalo hat, he was in heaven and he proceeded to prance (who knew buffalo pranced) around the living room... it was a great day.. Love you dad and Papa

Hadley is one spoiled little lady... She is very loved by both sides of family and they all came out to celebrate with us for her big birthday. We missed my mom because she was at home not feeling well... The lady needs to learn how to rest after big surgery's.... Hadley had been asking for a princess castle cake so i looked around and found one to make, it so didn't turn out the way it was suppose to, we lost the top tower and some of my decorating tips have gone missing but she told me she loved it anyways,,, actually she came up the stairs and looked at it and said " oh mom its perfect" so as long as she was happy it was fine. We had fun eating cake and opening presents with very one but missed all that couldn't come.. the next morning on her actual birthday she got her blueberry muffins and then we headed down to grandma and papa's for the day. That night she requested chick fila for her birthday dinner and we headed over and Casi, Taisyn, Kyli, and my mom joined us... she loved every second of her birthday and is already talking about next year:) she's a silly girl but we love her non the less...

This years Halloween was the best!!! the weather had been so cold for a few days before i was searching for things to put under Hadley's costume but that night it was actually quite nice..,, Hadley was so excited to be a NICE witch... She didn't want to take her costume off. We headed down to my parents to do a trunk or treat with all her cousins, we had all of Ben's family there and mine (except dad, hims was hurt) Hadley walked around with her cousin Lily. These two are so fun to watch and listen too! i can't wait till next year when we'll have two to do it with....

This past weekend we Roberts girls (and Jess) ventured down to St. George to my grandpa that's not doing so well. It was also my birthday so we had a fun weekend of Food, Family, and Shopping. It was so much fun.. We don't get together as just siblings very often so this weekend was so much fun.. I love my family!!!!!!

Catch up take 2

So I'm playing catch up again,, blogging has been way down on my list lately so i decided to suck it up and stay up and get a post out so my sister stops yelling at me... we've been doing a lot of fun things up till the past couple weeks do to me feeling like garbage. This pregnancy has sucked!! It's nothing like Hadley's and then i add to it being sick with a cold that won't go away and allergies... I've been a bear and all i want to do it sleep (which I'm not doing cause i can't breathe) but up till now we've had some fun.. First we had the Logan fair and Hadley was so excited to go on more rides, to bad she wasn't tall enough for any of them except the carousel.. Kyli was nice enough to take her while i helped out at a booth at the fair..

We ventured out the Logan Rodeo for the 2 year (don't know why, it sucks) it will be the last time i go!!!

We had a Jensen family day at Bear lake, it started out really cold but warmed up and was lots of fun, we got Hadley to go on the boat for the first time and she loved it, she didn't want to get off and she asks often to go back.... we may have to become boat/water people much to Ben's dismay.

We celebrated Ben's 32 birthday with a family BBQ at Gold Hill and everyone had a great time. Food, family, and guns what could make a birthday any better?????

We also took a trip up to the Tetons, it was Hadley's first camping trip and her first time sleeping in a tent, we were a little worried about the tent part but she did great and loved every second. We also went into Jackson Hole, i had never been there and we had lots of fun walking around, watching the shoot out, and buying to much candy at the candy store...

Summer of fun

What a fun and busy summer we've had.... swimming, the zoo, Gold hill, the garden, and of course the famous Preston night rodeo, parade, carnival, and "street fair/sale".. we've been going going going but lovin it. The Rodeo, parade, and carnival is something i look forward to every year. I love it and Hadley was so excited this year. She LOVED the parades with all the candy and thank heavens for aunt Megan and Aunt Kyli she made it through the rodeo..

i am so behind... so i will try and do short recaps on all that's been happening with us. Ben decided that he wanted to plant a garden to help him come home at night (didn't help) so my sister in law Penny's dad offered some of there farm land to plant it on... we headed up to look at it and Hadley got a big surprise... Chickens to get eggs from and brand new baby goats... she was in heaven...

We started the 4th of July Weekend with the USU fireworks on Friday, we met up with some of Ben's friends and went to Angie's for dinner... this past weekend we headed down to St. George with the whole Roberts family (except Tate and crew.. missed them) to be present for the much anticipated Sealing of the Christiansen family. What a special weekend it was and I'm so proud of all that they did to get to temple. They also throw in the blessing little miss Makley Jade and it was so fun to see the HUGE circle of priesthood holders there to help out. We started out our trip with a family dinner at Red robin... YUM!!!!! and boy was it fun with all 20+ of us... it was a great weekend and I'm sad Jena moved to AZ cause our trips to st. George will not be the same

Baby Makley Jade just couldn't wait to come to this world and so she made her much anticipated entrance to the world on May 2. Jena was suppose to be induced that next Monday and my mom and I were going to be there for the birth but missed it.. So we headed down Tuesday night to Lisa's and then on to Jena's Wednesday... We had so much fun shopping, playing out in the 90 degree heat, and being with family.. seriously i miss St. George so bad.. here are a few pictures from our trip

EGG-CITING Easter

We had a great Easter spent with lots of family. Lisa and Brent came up and we had a Roberts egg hunt which i think may have to become a tradition, the kids had so much fun and they were spoiled rotten by there Aunt Kyli. After the egg hunt Kyli put together a scavenger hunt and they all got a basket full of fun stuff, really there faces were the best when they saw all the stuff. After the egg fun we headed up to USU to watch uncle Jess play his last home game, it was fun to finally get to watch him play. Sunday was spent with a visit from the Easter bunny, church, and fun with the Jensen family. Hadley loved it and I'm grateful she has so much family to spend time with.

I've never really been a big fan of St. Patrick's day but i thought Hadley might enjoy making things green and boy was right... we started out with green pancakes and she had to help with every step and she couldn't wait to eat them. We wore green shirts ( and even Ben went and changed so he would get crap from everyone all day) we spent the day eating chocolate gold and green cupcakes... when ever I'd say Happy St. Patrick's day Hadley would yell with her arms above her head YAHOO PATRICK'S DAY... Guess she liked it. Holidays are so much better with kids, even the dumb ones

a little while ago we were able to go down to St. George for the weekend. It was a much needed vacation and even though it rained/snowed the whole time we still were able to have a little bit of fun. The trip started off with us heading to SLC so Ben could meet with a company that was interested in hiring him. Then we stopped by his old firm and said hi to everyone, we hadn't seen anyone since we left almost a year ago (CRAZY) and then we continued down the road to St. George. WE had lots of fun eating, drinking WAY to much soda, and watching the girls enjoy playing with each other... i left my camera in my car the first 2 days so i don't have many pictures but the ones we got i love.. Can't wait to go back to see little Mackley:) be born

Sunday my bro and sis in law came up to have there little boy Calem's first birthday party,,Poor kids did not feel well and had a rough night.. all he wanted to do was play and just didn't feel up to it. at the end of the night i put Had in the tub and me and Penny thought Calem might like to join her.. They love each other so much, it's the best to watch them together... Calem just laughs and laughs at hadley.. He was so excited to get in the tub (but the happiness lasted only a few minutes) so of course we had to document there fun.. I LOVE these two

So Christmas this year didn't really feel like Christmas until Christmas eve, i don't know why but i really didn't want it to come. This years been different for us and really difficult for me. So i wasn't in the Christmas spirit, so to help me out Ben got us a tree permit so we could cut down our own tree. We have a beautiful 9 foot Pre lit tree but it's to big for our house so Ben thought this would make me feel better about not being able to put it up and it did. We went to cut it down in the middle of a snow storm and after much hiking and many snow filled boots we got ours.. it's pretty cute i think,, kind of a who tree but what can you do when you cut down your own. We spent Christmas eve and morning at my parents with them, Jess, Casi, and Kyli.. it was lots of fun, my dad read us a wonderful story, we got Christmas eve Jammie's (always my favorite), got 7-11 hot chocolate and played games.. Christmas morning came and when Hadley woke up it took her just a minute to say Santa.....Santa Claus and we headed up stairs, Christmas really is better with Kids... we opened lots of presents had yummy breakfast and then headed to Preston from Christmas day with the Jensen's.. More food and more presents and then it was time to give Hadley her Santa gift,,, the elves (Ben) worked on it forever and then brought it up stairs,,, her very own kitchen!!!! she was so excited.. i don't have pictures of her getting it cause my memory card was full but I'll post some of it later.. we had a good Christmas and can't wait for next year!!!!!

k this post is so so late but i wanted to get it up her for "journal" purpose's.. this is pretty much a recap of the last few months and all the fun we had before the latest move.. seriously I'm so done moving. This one should be for a few months and then we get settled in somewhere permanent.. cross your fingers!!!

first off i repainted my kitchen table, chairs, and my night stand. I'm pretty impressed with how they turned out,,, to bad they got finished just in time to go to storage
kyli watches a few girls everyday and they love to play with her and her with them so we headed out to Firehouse for lunch (kids eat free Tuesday so it rules) Sammy, Kyli, and Abby

oh what a Halloween.. I hate Logan weather and it didn't disappoint rain rain rain...We started at Ben's mom's then we were able to go the my parents wards trunk or treat where Hadley loaded up her basket she wasn't sure at first and just wanted me to hold her but then figured it out and was ready to do it all by her self and then went to my parents where my dad(bad papa) let Hadley add about 10 more candy bars to her bucket.. she loved it though. then we headed over to grandma Jensen's and grandpa Don's to say hi and we got lots of chips. Hadley spent the rest of the night passing out candy to the trick or treaters with aunt kyli while Ben and i went to dinner... what a cute little chicken we had. She didn't even want to take her costume off...

St. George Labor Day Family adventure

For Labor Day Weekend we ventured on down to the good old WARM St. George... it was so much fun, pretty much my whole family was there and when the Roberts get together there's always lots of noise, food, and fun... We played at the Splash Park with the kids which they loved, we ate lots of food, we had good talks, played games, hung out with my Aunt Nancy and her family, and just relaxed.. We got to visit my wonderful grandpa, it makes me cry every time we leave because he loves seeing Hadley and he gets so sad when we leave.We must visit more!!! We even got to go to Ben's uncle Paul for dinner on Sunday with his family. I just have to say that this is my second favorite thing to do when we are down there, I love there family and i love visiting with them..They're the best.. all and all this trip ruled even though there is never enough time to do all the things we want we always have fun..

Another amazing Rodeo weekend has come and gone... Oh how i love this weekend and i really look forward to it every year.. This was year 5 and it was as good as the rest except the weather on Thursday night, which was the night we went to the carnival. we got soaked and it ruined riding the rides the night they were all 1 ticket. Hadley enjoyed the parade and loved the Ferris wheel but wasn't a big fan of the carousel. Thursday we went to the parade and carnival and Friday we went to the horse parade and rodeo with Kyli and Colton and Saturday we just went to the carnival because we had been at BBQ earlier and were all tired. I wish we could of gone to the rodeo Saturday cause that's always the best night... until next year.... enjoy the million pictures.

so I'm a Little late posting this but i had to wait for kyli to send me her pictures.. A few days before the kiddies headed back to Louisiana we took them up to Ben's families land for a BBQ and four wheeling,,, it was so fun and the kids loved it, i didn't think we were going to be able to get Marty back in the car to go home. The weather wasn't the best at the beginning but it cleared up and was really nice. We had lots of fun, food, and four wheeling.. i can't wait to have the kiddies back again... So I'm a little late posting this stuff but we have had so much going on that there is allot to put up so this will be a LONG post will a TON of pictures... This had to be the BEST BEST BEST 4Th of July ever. Hadley loved it, i was worried the fireworks would scare her but she just oh'd and aw'd at all of them. She loved doing snaps or pops as she calls them and the snakes. We did stuff Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.. We watched lots of Fireworks, played with lots of friends, and got to be around lots of family. It has been so fun having Nya and Marty here to do all these things with... and on to the millions of pictures

Friday we went with our friends Andy, Krista, Cody, and Cody's daughter Ava the dinner and watch the USU fireworks but first we had to let the girls "bump" and do snaps and Snakes

Saturday i went with Kyli, my sister in law Megan, Carly, and her Sister Addie to see Eclipse. i didn't want to deal with all the crazy people so i opted to drive to Ogden and see it in a reserved seating theater, it was quite fun.before the movie Kyli Megan and i went and Ate then went and looked at all the painted horses all over the streets of Ogden,,, who knows what that's all about..

Oh what a summer we've been having(the whole 2 weeks of it) We've been having lots of fun out in the sun... swimming, playing with cousins, and hanging out at the park.. we've been tyring to keep our selves busy the last few weeks,, with the weather being nice one day and then not the next. Poor Hadley all she wants to do is play outside.. WE have had a few visitors and have loved playing with them. Kyli graduated on the 25 of may and got the best gift ever... Casi came out from Baton Rouge and brought our niece Nya and nephew Shamar with her, it's been like 2 or 3 years since we've seem them so its been so fun having them here. We all new for a while they were coming so we had to not spill the beans and tell her (which we almost did a few times).. so here's a few pictures to show whats been going on

I can't believe today my little baby sister Kyli graduates from High School.... i can't be that old already, i feel like i just graduated... We love Aunt Kyli and are very proud of her... Thanks Kyli for hanging out and for loving to play with Hadley...

Good Old Cache Valley

SO life has been pretty boring up here in the good old Smithfield until this last weekend. we've been spending lots of time at home but with all this space Hadley is loving being able to run all over the place and i love that there is a place to put her toys without tripping over them... here are a few:) pictures of the fun we've been having

so here i am sitting at my parents house for the 7Th straight day,,,, moving sucks and what sucks worse is when people (who will remain nameless)break your couch when you move and not having a frig... i usually don't use my blog for personal venting but seeing's how most people that know me know that this move was not what i wanted to do i will take this opportunity to vent my anger so it doesn't get put onto my husband and child.....

I HATE Logan,, HATE HATE HATE it!@!!! i don't want to live here i want to go home. It literally brings me to tears every single time the realization that i live here comes into my brain.. I've heard over and over that it'll get better, I'll like living by family, and you'll be happy. But for now I'm just trying not to let the grips of depression swallow me whole... I've been trying to keep busy organizing and cleaning but doing that leaves me alone in an empty house with only my thoughts. why does life have to change? why does it throw you such big curve balls???? and why in the mist of being surrounded by family and friends can you feel more alone then you ever have??? All and all you an say today is a bad day and its not looking up

so here we sit still not completely moved in waiting (till tomorrow) for comcast to come so we will have TV and Internet so we can stay at the new house with out loosing our sanity and actually sleep in our new but temporary home.. pictures to come soon.

A friend of mine from way back when just found out her little 2 year old son has a brain tumor on his brain stem. After more testing they discovered it was cancer and because of the location they can't operate, they will do radiation to give them as much time with him as possible .. please keep them in your prayers...

poor Hadley has been stuck in the house the last few weeks while i try to pack up our house so we have been trying to entertain her the best we can.. she is such an outside girl its not even funny, every morning when we come down the stairs for breakfast the first thin she says is -outside- and i continue to hear it all day... here are a few pictures of what we've been up toit was freezing outside and still she wanted to go for a walk.. and this is what Ben did to keep her warm

Easter Came Early

We were in Logan a couple of weeks ago and i decided that i wanted to dye Easter eggs.. Yes i know I'm about 2 months early but we will be moving right around Easter and since my house is already tore up i don't think i will be wanting to do it then. Plus i don't eat hard boiled eggs so i figured we could do it when we were in Logan and there were people around that would like to dye them with us (Kyli and her cute friends) and eat them... We ended up doing them later then i had planned so Hadley didn't want much to do with them, she hadn't napped well all day or slept well the night before so she just wanted to throw them and when i wouldn't let her she just wanted to cuddle with her dad and her blanket.. it was fun non the less... I'm glad i got a little Easter fun in before the move..

Valentines day was so nice.. we stayed home and a nice dinner and hung out as a family.. Hadley is so entertaining so why would you need to go out when you can just stay home and watch her... Saturday we got dinner since we couldn't go out Sunday..
Hadley has been changing and growing so fast i can't even handle it.. She's walking and talking like crazy and she's a crazy one... She laughs at herself, she walks around talking on her phone(video to come) and takes care of her baby and my favorite(not really) is her sticking her finger up her nose and leaving it there,,, THANK YOU KAMDYN.... she's started doing this weird little cheese face when the camera comes out and my camera takes forever to take the picture, the pictures we have don't do it justice.. I love my baby girl and i love my hubby.. hope everyone had a great Love Day...

We had a very long weekend,, It started before the weekend even started. Ben's grandma passed away Wednesday morning so we headed up there to spend the day with Ben's mom. We went back home that night and then went back up Friday for the Viewing. Saturday was the funeral and it was a sad but happy day. After the funeral we had a good lunch and then hung out with all of Ben's family at his mom's house. His Aunt and Cousin's from Seattle came down and it's always good to visit with them cause we don't see them very often.. Sunday we went to church with my family and then headed up to Richmond to watch the super bowl with Ben's friends, I'm not a big football person but i look forward to this party every year.. I love getting together and hanging out and eating way to much food... It nice to be home and have a little down time..

On a side note Hadley has decided she's done crawling and is now walking all over the place.. she's been working on it for about two weeks but really got the hang of it this weekend.. I guess she just needed an audience to show her skills to to make her realize walking is a good thing..

nothing really has been going on at our house... Which i actually have loved...We haven't traveled anywhere in the last two weeks and that's a miracle... Hadley's been walking like crazy but will only do it when she wants to, she loves to push her baby in her shopping cart all day long.. We're back to the teething unhappy baby i know and not so much love but hopefully it'll be over soon.
Ben hurt his back on Friday and pretty much couldn't move Saturday and Sunday. he's doing better but looks like we'll be heading to his surgeon again sometime soon,, cross your fingers that we don't have to fuse his back this soon...pic's soon i promise.

My little Hadley isn't so little anymore and it makes me sad. Every day she does something new and says something new. (thank you Barney). She loves books and loves music, that's what we do all day, sing and read. The girl eats everything and i mean everything. She eats her dinner and then wants whatever we have.. i can't believe she's this big..

Another Year has come and gone,, SO CRAZY!!! It's been the best year, having Hadley in our lives has made everything better.. She's getting so big and i can't wait to see how she changes and what will come this year.. For New Years we were suppose to head down to St. George but due to some,,,, we'll say technical difficulties we ended up staying home New years eve and going to temple square and then out to dinner with all of Ben's family who were all down for New years.. New Years day we drove down to St. George to hang with Jena, Derek, and Kamdyn.. we had lots of fun and it was good to get out and go some where other then Logan,.. lots of food, lots of fun, and LOTS of Glee!!!!!

Santa Claus Came to Town..

I can't believe Christmas has come and gone. Christmas is so much better with kids, even though Hadley doesn't understand whats going on we got a few excited reactions when she saw a few of her presents.... Our Christmas break started out with a visit from Aunt Kyli YEAH!!!! Kyli came down Monday and hung out with us till we went home Christmas Eve. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas morning at my parents and then Christmas day at Ben's mom's... We have the best families and are so lucky to be able to spend time with them... Saturday before heading home i got to go to lunch with friends from High School... So much fun and few of them i haven't seen in forever...I can't wait till next year and now on to New Years!!!! Hope everyone had as great of a Christmas as we did!!!!!!
